I don’t know about you, but I love sore muscles! There’s nothing like going to work out, and feeling your muscles scream at you for the next 2 to 3 days. Seriously! It’s awesome! I know when I’m sore, it’s a sign of muscle growth, and I love feeling strong. Sure, I complain when my arms are so sore I can’t lift myself out of bed, or when I feel like if I use the stairs I’m either going to fall down them, or create a traffic jam going up…”Sorry back there!” Every time I take a class from Katie Dolder, Hendricks Regional Health Fitness Instructor, I can be sure to feel my muscles burn. I have taken several of her classes, and I just wanted to tell you a little bit about them.

Ballistics: This workout incorporates a stability ball. As if doing pushups, crunches and planks weren’t hard enough, this workout makes your brain and your body work together for increased strength and balance. Balance is so important as we get older, and this class is perfect for improving it. After taking this class, I used muscles I didn’t know I had!

Body Sculpt: If you like low weight and high repetition, this class is for you. Honestly, being a gal who enjoys lifting heavy, I tend to scoff at 5 pound dumbbells. Trust me! It begins to feel like 50 pounds after the last few repetitions. This class is great for people at every fitness level. Modifications are always available in all of Katie’s classes. She works hard to get you in top notch shape.

POUND: This is a BRAND-NEW class at Hendricks Regional Health. This is a full body jam session that keeps you moving with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and isometric poses into a 45-minute series. This is a fun way to get your groove on without having to be too graceful.

Hard Core Boot Camp: If you like a challenge, this class is for you! This is a great cardiovascular workout that builds endurance, targets the legs, upper body and core with challenging multipurpose moves that builds lean muscle. You can expect some moves right out of gym class, like jump rope, pushups, jumping jacks, and so much more.  I’m tired just writing about it!

REGISTER TODAY for one of these fun classes. Hurry, spaces are filling up!
