I’m a lucky person with one of the best jobs around. I work with a bunch of kind, smart and amazing people who take great care of me, my family, neighbors and friends who receive their medical care at Hendricks Regional Health. I also work with a bunch of kind, smart and amazing volunteers who fun raise to help those amazing caregivers take care of me, my family, neighbors and friends at Hendricks Regional Health.
Sometimes when I tell people what I do, they react with a shake of the head, a “Wow, I couldn’t do that,” or even a scowl. Surprisingly, it’s not everyone’s dream to be a fundraiser. Imagine that! One of my favorite fundraising cartoons became even more appropriate when I began working for Hendricks Regional Health Foundation in 2008. It is a drawing of two doctors working on a patient and one of them saying, “Well, at least it’s not fundraising!” Well, I could not be a brain surgeon, so thankfully I’m a fundraiser!
